Aspire Counseling
Dr. Michelle Casey-Schmidt - PsyD, LPC

My Approach
I began my career working with adolescents in a residential treatment setting and quickly found a passion for working with children and their families. I continued to work in this setting for over 18 years, before transitioning to an outpatient mental health clinic where I continued to work with adolescents, and expanded my passion into working with children, adults, and couples. Before starting Aspire Counseling, I worked for Crossroads Outpatient Counseling Center for over five years.

About Me
I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelors in Social Work in 1999, and a Masters of Science in Counseling in 2006. I also graduated from Upper Iowa University with a Masters in Public Administration in 2011.
I furthered my education at University of Arizona Global Campus, earning a Doctorate of Psychology in April 2022.
Our
Story
I started Aspire Counseling and plan to continue to work with individuals across the lifespan. I have gained knowledge not only through my education, but through the twenty-three years working in the mental health field in some capacity. Treatment modalities include CBT, DBT, person-centered, and strengths based.
